Our password reset flow works the same way across all devices. You request a reset link via email or SMS code, verify your identity, and set a new password. We never ask you to call support or use a separate website; everything happens directly in our app or browser. The entire process is encrypted and secure, protecting your account from unauthorised access.

Why password security matters on emas3ui

Your emas3ui account holds sensitive information: your identity verification documents, payment methods, account balance, and transaction history. A weak or compromised password puts all of this at risk. We take password security seriously, which is why we enforce strong password requirements and encourage two-factor authentication.

When you create an emas3ui account, we require a password that's at least 8 characters long and includes uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. This complexity makes brute-force attacks impractical. We also never store your password in plain text—we hash it using industry-standard encryption, so even our support team can't see your actual password.

If you suspect your password has been compromised—perhaps you've used it on another site that was breached, or you've shared it accidentally—reset it immediately. A quick password change takes seconds and prevents unauthorised access to your account, your balance, and your withdrawal methods.

Password reset on Android and iOS

On our Android app or iOS browser, the password reset process begins at the login screen. If you've forgotten your password, tap the "Forgot password?" link below the login fields. We'll ask you to enter the email address or phone number associated with your emas3ui account.

Choose your recovery method: email or SMS. If you select email, we'll send a password reset link to your registered email address. The link is valid for 24 hours and includes a unique token that prevents unauthorised resets. If you select SMS, we'll send a six-digit code to your phone number. Enter this code in the app, and you'll be prompted to set a new password.

Once you've set your new password, we'll log you out of all active sessions for security. You'll need to log back in using your new password on all your devices—Android, iOS, and desktop. This ensures that if someone else had access to your old password, they're automatically locked out.

Password reset links expire after 24 hours

If you don't complete your password reset within 24 hours, the link or code becomes invalid. You'll need to request a new reset link or code. This expiration window protects your account from unauthorised reset attempts.

What if you can't access your email or phone?

If you've lost access to your registered email address or phone number, we have a secondary verification process. After you request a password reset, we'll ask you to verify your identity using information from your account—such as your full name, date of birth, or the last four digits of your ID number.

Once you've verified this information, we can send a reset link to an alternative email address or phone number you provide. We'll verify that this new contact method belongs to you before proceeding. This step protects your account from unauthorised takeovers while still allowing legitimate account recovery.

If you're unable to verify your identity through this process, contact our support team. We can help you regain access, but we'll need to confirm your identity through additional documentation—such as a photo of your ID or a recent bank statement. This verification typically takes a few hours during business days.

Creating a strong password on emas3ui

When you set a new password during reset, follow these guidelines to ensure it's strong and secure. Your password must be at least 8 characters long and include a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters (such as !, @, #, $, %). Avoid using dictionary words, your name, or easily guessable sequences like "123456" or "qwerty".

A strong password example: "Emas3ui@2024Secure!" This combines uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and a special character, making it resistant to brute-force attacks. Never reuse passwords across multiple sites—if one site is breached, attackers will try your password on other platforms, including emas3ui.

We recommend using a password manager like Bitwarden, 1Password, or your phone's built-in password manager to generate and store complex passwords. These tools create unique passwords for each site and remember them for you, so you don't have to.

Two-factor authentication: an extra layer of security

Even with a strong password, we recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) on your emas3ui account. With 2FA enabled, you'll need to enter a code from your phone or authenticator app every time you log in from a new device. This means that even if someone learns your password, they can't access your account without your phone.

We support two types of 2FA: SMS codes and authenticator apps. SMS codes are sent to your registered phone number and are valid for subject to verification. Authenticator apps like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator generate codes that change every 30 seconds and work even without an internet connection.

To enable 2FA on emas3ui, go to your account settings and select "Security." Choose your preferred 2FA method, and we'll guide you through setup. We'll ask you to confirm your choice by entering a code, ensuring that only you can enable 2FA on your account.

Password reset during account verification

If you're in the middle of account verification (KYC) when you need to reset your password, don't worry. Your verification status is separate from your password. You can reset your password at any time, and your verification progress will remain intact. Once you've reset your password and logged back in, you can continue with verification or proceed directly to deposits and withdrawals if you've already completed it.

During major holidays like Idul Fitri or Idul Adha, our support team may have reduced availability, but our automated password reset system runs 24/7. You can reset your password anytime, even during holidays, and regain access to your account immediately.

Password reset and payment security

Your password protects access to your account, but it doesn't directly protect your payment methods. We store payment information separately and encrypt it using additional security layers. When you make a deposit or withdrawal, we may ask you to confirm your identity through a code sent to your phone or email—this is separate from your password.

If you've reset your password due to a security concern, we recommend reviewing your payment methods in your account settings. Ensure that only your trusted payment accounts (DANA, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, or your bank) are linked to emas3ui. If you see unfamiliar payment methods, remove them immediately and contact our support team.

Password reset across cities and regions

Whether you're in Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, or Medan, our password reset system works the same way. We don't restrict password resets based on location, and we don't require you to be in a specific region to reset your password. Our system is available 24/7, so you can reset your password anytime, from anywhere in a supported jurisdiction.

If you're travelling and need to reset your password, you can do so from your phone or any device with internet access. Once you've reset your password, you can log in and access your account, check your balance, and manage your withdrawals just as you would at home.

Contacting support if you're locked out

If you've tried to reset your password multiple times and are still unable to access your account, our support team is here to help. We're available via email, live chat, or contact form on our website. When you reach out, have your registered email address and phone number ready so we can verify your identity quickly.

Our support team can help you regain access, but we'll need to confirm your identity through security questions or document verification. This process protects your account from unauthorised takeovers. Once we've verified your identity, we can reset your password or help you recover your account.
